I know all of us are safe at home but that shouldn’t be stopping us from getting some physical exercise. I know all of the gyms are closed but if you are lucky that you have gym equipment at home, you are still very capable of getting a workout in. I am waiting for the day that the gyms are back open and I can go back to one of my second homes and get a great workout in and be there for forever because I miss it so much. I have for a long time gotten questions as to what is in my gym bag and what I take with me to the gym. I know, a really weird time to be posting this, but hey what can I say, my mind is at the gym right now. All of these things that I mention are super easy to find. So let’s dive into it!
TONE IT UP BOOTIE BANDS AND SLIDES
I absolutely love Tone It Up’s products and they are simple things that actually get the best and hardest workout out of you. I have these in my gym bag and use them on leg and butt days and they absolutely KILL ME! Each of the bands is used for something different like sculpting and strength. The slides are amazing because each side can be used on different surfaces, which is perfect if you are working out at home or at the gym.
Now I know that gyms have a TON of resistance bands but I like to carry my own because this one is a little harder which is perfect! I have a ton of different resistance bands from the power tubes to just the bands. Each serves a different purpose but I like to carry my own and have a ton of different levels to work with. I use these for a normal workout as well as stretching before I start my workout or run.
MUSCLE ROLLER STICK
I carry my best friend of working out with me in my gym bag and that would be my muscle roller stick. I have had this roller stick for about 12 years and it is one of the best products I have ever used. I use this when I am stretching at the gym and if you are at a really good gym, they might even have these. I will roll out the places that are really sore or that I am having trouble with to make sure I don’t have any worse injuries.
I like to carry some of the basics in my gym bag as well, like lotion and deodorant. I absolutely love the Arm & Hammer deodorant because there are no white marks and it keeps me smelling super fresh all day. I am not joking when I say that I put on lotion before I workout because I hate having dry skin, so I for sure always have some great lotion with me! I also always have some type of small towel with me. I don’t like really carrying one around with me, but I have it in my gym bag for afterwards or even for my car depending on how sweaty I am.
SNEAKER BALL DEODORIZER’S
Yes, these sneaker ball deodorizer’s are meant to be in your shoes when you are not wearing them, and yes they are for the most part. But sometimes I will leave a couple in my gym bag to help make sure it never smells too bad and they really truly work!
