Raleigh Spotlight: Taverna Agora

I have lived in Raleigh, NC, my entire life and there are still places and things that I have never done in my own city. That’s about to change. I am creating a series on here called Raleigh Spotlight that is going to showcase restaurants, bars, events, stores and shops, parks, activities, and more amazing things in Raleigh. This is our third post in this series and this is a completely new restaurant for me. Taverna Agora is an authentic Greek kitchen & bar where friends & family enjoy good wine, eat wonderfully prepared, simple food and relax.

The restaurant is reminiscent of gathering places found in Greece, with old world flavors and rustic roots.  However, Taverna Agora expands beyond the traditional agora with a some modern flair, including hand-crafted cocktails, a gourmet marketplace and Sunday brunch. They have different seating options where you can sit at their bar, in their dining room or enjoying a Greek cocktail on their open-air rooftop patio. We recently had brunch on their open-air rooftop patio and not only was the view amazing but it was absolutely gorgeous and reminded me of my time in Greece.

Incredible food, incredible scenery, and incredible staff. If you are looking for a great experience in Downtown Raleigh, Taverna Agora is the place to go!

If any of you live in Raleigh, NC, and have some places that you think should be showcased in the Raleigh Spotlight series, please comment them down below or DM me on any of my social media. AND if you go to Taverna Agora yourself, I want to hear how your experience was and what food you got. As always, thank y’all for stopping by and reading. I will see y’all back here next time.

Love, Dani
