Just like our Raleigh Spotlight’s, we are going to be doing Outer Banks Spotlights since I am here for the Summer and want to show y’all around. My go-to, favorite place in the Outer Banks is BlueWater Grill. With a location right in Pirates Cove Marina, it makes for the perfect spot to see boats come in from fishing during the day, enjoy some fresh seafood, and incredible drinks. I know being at the beach there is a ton of fresh seafood, but BlueWater truly has an incredible selection with a specials menu changing every night. There is a raw bar where the oysters are out of this world delicious and you can watch them be shucked and prepared.
With a changing specials menu every night, there are also speciality cocktails that go along with every meal. With a wine, beer, and cocktail menu, there is no way you could go wrong.
Not only is there the upstairs indoor restaurant with a raw bar, these also have Mimi’s Tiki Hut right downstairs on the docks that is first come first serve with full menu that offers live music Thursday through Sunday. The Tiki Hut is the perfect spot to watch the boats return after a great day of fishing. I suggest making a reservation for BlueWater Grill, especially during the summertime, because they are crazy busy and run things on a reservation basis.
If any of you live in the Outer Banks or visit OBX, and have some places that you think should be showcased in the short-series OBX Spotlight series, please comment them down below or DM me on any of my social media. AND if you go to BlueWater Grill yourself, I want to hear how your experience was and what food you got. As always, thank y’all for stopping by and reading. I will see y’all back here next time.
