When house hunting, one of the biggest things that I was looking for was a good size closet. And I mean a good size closet. And I was lucky enough to get a pretty good one. I wanted to share now what it looks like now that I finally have everything put together and organized.
Closet System
It took me a lot of time to find a closet system that I felt would work best for the amount of clothes and shoes I have. I wish I had a little more room so I could organize and store my t-shirts and full workout gear but this truly has all of the important things that I wear every day.
I found this closet system at Home Depot and they had a lot of different variations and ways to organize it. You could add drawers, more hanging, less hanging, more shelves, etc. Now the assembly and hanging part was tricky.
Once I had this all put together and ready to go, organizing and hanging clothes was the most fun part of it all. I knew from my prior closets what I wanted to do and the flow of it all. From workout tops to short-sleeve tops to long-sleeve tops and sweatshirts. On the other side are heavy long sleeve items, pants, and dresses. What I hadn’t given a whole lot of thought to was just how many pairs of shoes I had. I was able to fit all of them and get some cleaning out done as well.
Organization Bins
It was really important that I had some baskets to utilize the top shelves to store my other random items like scarves, beanies, belts, ball caps, smaller sandals, etc. These decorative baskets are a lifesaver to separate and keep things in one place. I have had them for years and they have never failed!
Wall Hooks
With not a whole lot of room left to store purses or hats, it was really important to take advantage of the wall space that I did have. I was able to find these adhesive hooks for hanging heavy-duty items that are clear and blend in with the rest of my closet. They have done a fantastic job of hanging my smaller purses and everyday bras that are super easy to grab really quickly.
