How Are You Spending The Holiday’s This Year?

I think without a doubt we can all say that this holiday season is going to look a little different. We are knocking on the door of two of the most family-filled, tradition-filled, active holidays in our whole year. Thats right! I’m talking about Thanksgiving and Christmas! While we may not be able to be around the ones we love or travel to where we want to go, we can still try to make this holiday season as normal as can be. I for one can say that this time of the year, is probably one of the craziest, and while a lot of us may be focusing on the negatives, the shining star in this is that we can take a deep breath and slow down. Slow down and not put so much pressure around this holiday season and actually enjoy it.

We are still trying to keep traditions alive but make them different and with a spin on them. While we usually travel out of state to see family for Thanksgiving or back and forth between family houses, we are taking a trip up to the mountains of NC to be with family. We are taking precautions and getting tested, but we don’t want to hinder or take away from what this holiday season means. Our usually Hill Ridge Farm Festival of Lights is being turned into a drive thru this year, so we can stay in our own cars and still see the lights. We are having our usual cooking making festival and trying to spread as much joy as possible. The Christmas tree isn’t quite up yet but after Thanksgiving it will be up right in our living room. Trust me if the Rockefeller Christmas Tree can still make its way to New York and be a gorgeous reminder of Christmas, then we can keep pushing forward and enjoy this holiday season.

I want to hear from y’all on a few things… How are you spending the holidays this year? What are some traditions you are keeping alive? What are you having to change this year? I want to hear all your holiday thoughts down below in the comments.

Don’t worry y’all, we are going to get through this together. As always, thank y’all for stopping by and reading. I will see y’all back here next time.

Love, Dani
