I love Christmas and I have loved it since I was a kid because I am entranced by the lights, decorations, and beauty of the holiday.

I’ve said this before, but each year I’m figuring out more and more how to decorate our home for different occasions, and I wanted to share some of the holiday cheer this year! Now that my sister and I are in our own home, one of the first things we had to figure out this Christmas was what theme we wanted to do. Are we doing red and green? All white? Colorful? Woodsy?

We settled on doing a red, white, and green theme because that is what we had a ton of. From there we had to figure out what surfaces we could take advantage of to put decorations on. A lot of the decorations we have, have been created, made, hand-stitched, and passed down through my family for years. They mean a lot to us.

I will say one thing that isn’t consistent with our overall theme of decorating is our wrapping paper. I appreciate cohesive wrapping paper but I think a tree looks so much more fun when there are a lot of colors and patterns underneath. Whether it be a type of wrapping paper for each person or all together different.
