Calling all my foodies! There are few things greater than Christmas morning, am I right? Between showering your loved ones with special surprises and spending the whole morning lounging in your PJs, it is definitely one of my favorite days of the year. We also love to enjoy a big breakfast mid-morning that will hold us over until our early Christmas dinner.
We don’t have a specific breakfast that we make every Christmas. Instead, we love trying new recipes each year. I’m not sure what we’ll be making this year, but it’s always exciting to see what happens. I hope these recipes give you an idea for Christmas breakfast for your own family this year!
BREAKFAST CASSEROLE
You can never go wrong with a breakfast casserole! This particular recipe, is the easiest casserole recipe ever, and I love that it can be frozen for later. This would be a great recipe to make a couple of days before Christmas for an easy pop-in-the-oven breakfast.
OLD FASHIONED PANCAKES
Is there anything more delicious than a classic pancake breakfast? I mean can you truly go wrong with a great stack of pancakes. I’ve never tried this specific recipe, but at a glance, it looks AMAZING. I usually make a side of bacon and eggs with my pancakes for that perfect salty and sweet combo but also a hearty meal.
FRUIT SALAD WITH MINT SYRUP
I wouldn’t be able to serve this as our only dish on Christmas morning, but it would be a great side dish to serve with a casserole or even pancakes. I love that this fruit is topped with a tasty mint syrup so it’s a bit more elevated than just your standard fruit salad. Something really different from the regular fruit salad.
Make-Your-Own Pancake Board
The best type of breakfast charcuterie board I have ever laid my eyes on. I think it’s the perfect Christmas morning breakfast, especially if you have a bigger family or kiddos running around. Everyone can make their own pancake plate when they want and there’s truly something for everyone on this board!
CLASSIC COFFEE CAKE
This is always one of my favorite breakfasts, especially on Christmas morning. There’s something so magical about sipping a warm coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and enjoying a nice slice of coffee cake. The buttery cake, crunchy crumbles, and cinnamon-sugar inside create the perfect combination for a Christmas morning treat.
French Toast
Don’t mind me, just currently drooling. Oh my stars, how good does this french toast look? I’m a huge sucker for french toast, and this recipe looks DELICIOUS. With only five ingredients, this recipe is super easy to make and will be a crowd-pleaser for sure. I love topping my french toast with all kinds of fun things like fresh berries, whipped cream, and maple syrup.
HASH BROWN-CRUSTED QUICHE WITH SAUSAGE
This quiche has been past down through my entire family and such a customizable recipe. With few ingredients, this breakfast dish is able to be whipped up quickly and with ease. And just a few other recipes here, this one can be saved and eaten over the following days after Christmas.
Spinach Mushroom Breakfast Casserole
Continuing with the casserole recipe train, but if you’re looking for something a bit… healthier, this spinach mushroom casserole is a great option. If you’re serving a large crowd, you could also make both casseroles and add in a side of fruit salad for a great, filling breakfast!
What is your favorite thing to make for Christmas morning? What about your favorite thing to eat Christmas morning? As always, thank y’all for stopping by and reading. I will see y’all back here next time.
