Over the last few weeks, I have been doing a lot of reflection of 2020 and the things that came out of last year. BUT today I am truly welcoming 2021 by sharing my 2021 goals. The things I want to make happen this year! From travels to business experiences to home projects and more. Down below is even the Goals for 2021 Video, so go check that out!
While I’m not big on resolutions I am definitely BIG into making goals! Also really into writing them down as I feel that helps keep you accountable – so here we go…
TWENTY-ONE THINGS I WANT TO MAKE HAPPEN IN 2021 – MY TWENTY-ONE 2021 GOALS!
I just saw a quote that said, “Balance is not something you find, it is something you make.” I am horrible at balancing my life, so for 2021 want to make balance between my work life, social life, and personal life.
READ 50 BOOKS
I have been on the reading train and I am making it a goal to get off my phone more and pick up a book a read.
WORK ON SAVING
This is always a big one for me! Working on saving money and getting out of debt. A major big girl lesson that I have learned and really make sure to stay on top of this but really want to reduce my spending and save more.
FOCUS ON THINGS THAT BRING ME JOY
No time to waste on people or things that aren’t bettering me or making me happy. I am always trying to concentrate and be surrounded by the things that I find most important and that continuously bring me joy and happiness.
START EACH DAY WITH POSITIVITY
I recently heard this in a podcast and am starting to pick it up. Every morning when I wake up, the first thing I am going to do is put my hand over my heart and say out loud, “I love you Danielle Clardy,” as a form of self love and positivity.
I need to practice this and not be so hard on myself. I have never had a great relationship with myself because of how I see myself and my body. I have been this way for years but I have gotten better and just want to stick to that.
LOVE MY BODY
Working on focusing on how my body feels and how I feel in my body than how I look. I am never going to look like a supermodel, I know that, I am okay with that, but I just want to feel good in my own skin.
CONTINUE MY JOURNEY OF FITNESS
As most of y’all know I love to workout and sweat. I am not the type of girl who goes to the gym and looks pretty. I am in there doing what I need to do to get a sweat going and most of the time it’s not a pretty site. But I love the way I feel working out and afterwards my body feels so strong.
DO MORE FOR MY COMMUNITY
I have really wanted to dive into our new community here in Raleigh. I have connected a lot with organizations here, but would like to do so much more. As well as doing a few things for our neighborhood.
GROW MY BUSINESS
There has been a lot of change this past year and I finally pulled the trigger on getting my website redone and I am thrilled with it but there are still so many things that I want to do. I am working on setting up a podcast right now and I am so excited to add this on.
DON’T BE SO AFRAID
I need to stop being so afraid of things that happen in life and just live it. I want to enjoy the things around me and not be so caught up in what is going to happen next. There is a lot going on right now in our world to be afraid of but you just have to keep livin’ and not be afraid.
MENTAL HEALTH COMES FIRST
Prioritize sleep, my own happiness, and taking my time. Avoiding things that stress me out, and more.
DO MORE STRETCHING
I am horrible at stretching and for as much as I workout, I need to be better. I just need to get into the habit of doing it before each workout.
START RUNNING AGAIN
I haven’t been on the running bandwagon since the beginning of 2020 and I want to slowly start adding it back in. I am not training for any type of race or event but just want to get back to a place where I am running at least once a week.
The biggest question mark out there right now. Who knows what this year is going to hold with the pandemic but if I am ever allowed to safely travel, I’m jumping at the opportunity.
GROW MY CHANNELS
Whether it be TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram, I have goals of where I want to be with all 3 of these and I am going to make it happen!
BLOW THE CONVERSATION SERIES OUT OF THE WATER
As y’all know, The Conversation Series is my ultimate passion project and I just want to blow this thing out of the water and take it to places that even I couldn’t imagine. And it is going to happen this year!
FIND NEW AND FUN HEALTHY RECIPES
I need to stop eating out so much and stop being lazy. I do a pretty good job of eating most meals at home but want to find healthy snack recipes that I can make instead of just going to my fridge and staring at it. Stay tuned because I will share those here!
CREATE QUALITY CONTENT
I want to make sure that I am putting out content and videos that is relevant and actually speaks to people. This has taken me a long time but I am starting to get into this groove and trying to be really particular about what content I am sharing with y’all.
LOVE THE ONES AROUND ME
I have such an incredible family and really close group of friends and I want to make sure this year that I love these people SUPER hard. They mean so much to me and that is one of the biggest things that I have taken out of all of this. It is hard to go throughout life without having those you love with you.
DO MORE CORE EXERCISES
Another fitness goal and one I want to get better at. My core used to be super strong from running but I want to get it back to a good place and just make it part of my regular routine in some way.
